Gathering around the table with family and friends was a key part of my childhood.

My friends would always come over and ask, “What treats did your mom make today?” Or, “What’s your dad making for dinner?” I still think they only came over to hang with my parents (if you visited them at Teal Rose Coffee, you know why).

Our home was always open – everyone was welcome – and it’s that model of hospitality that seeded my core value of connection.

Connection matters. And what better way to foster that connection than with food?

And while hospitality is incredibly important to me, Black Rose Kitchen allows me to foster that connection well beyond my own home.

From charcuterie catering and workshops to lunch deliveries to grab-n-go bodegas, I’m honored to get to feed people handmade, nourishing food.
